General & Courses

The Garden of Knowledge offers English and Arabic language courses for children, teenagers and adults. Course availability may vary, so please contact us for the latest programmes, class schedules and availability.

We offer programmes for students from 6 years old through to adults. Students are grouped according to their age and ability level to help provide the most appropriate learning environment.

Yes. We offer English and Arabic language programmes for adult learners at different ability levels, from Pre-A1 through to C2.

Yes. We welcome students at all ability levels, including complete beginners. New students complete a placement assessment so we can recommend the most suitable class and level.

Yes. All new students are required to take a placement test. The assessment evaluates their current proficiency across reading, writing, listening/comprehension and speaking to help us place them in the most appropriate class.

Yes. Private lessons can be arranged according to the availability of both the student and teacher.

English Classes

Yes. We offer English learning programmes for children from age 6 at different ability levels, from complete beginners through to advanced learners. Our programmes include general English as well as reading and foundation classes designed to build strong English language and literacy skills.

Yes. We offer English courses for teenagers and adults at different ability levels, from complete beginners (Pre-A1) through to advanced users at C1 and C2.

Yes. We offer literacy, reading and foundation classes for students from age 6 through to adults. Groups are separated by age and then by ability level to ensure students are placed in the course that is right for them.

Yes. IELTS preparation is available. Please contact our admin team to find out when the next session starts and to check current availability.

We use award-winning Cambridge curriculum materials for our general English classes. Our courses are topic-based and designed to help students use their developing English skills confidently in real-world situations.

Yes. Our English teachers are British or South African.

Arabic Classes

Yes. We offer Arabic language programmes for children from age 6 at different ability levels. Contact us to find the most suitable programme and check current class availability.

Yes. We offer Arabic courses for non-Arabic speakers from age 6 through to adults, from complete beginners to advanced users.

Arabic as a First Language is designed for students who already have a background in Arabic and are able to communicate in the language. These classes focus on Classical Arabic skills required for school and formal learning.

Arabic as a Second Language is designed for learners who are developing Arabic as an additional language. These courses are topic-based and focus on practical Arabic used in everyday social and work situations.

Absolutely. We welcome Arabic learners from complete beginners through to advanced users and will help place each student at the appropriate level.

Classes & Schedules

Our group classes have a maximum of 15 students and a minimum of 4 students, with an average of approximately 10 students per class.

Our group classes are generally held twice a week, with each class lasting 1.5 hours. Your exact schedule depends on your age and level and will be provided after your placement assessment.

Yes. Classes are held from Saturday to Thursday. The exact days and times available depend on the student’s age, level and current class availability.

If a student misses a class, the teacher will endeavour to help them catch up. If multiple classes are missed, make-up support classes can be arranged with a teacher assistant to help ensure there are no gaps in the student’s knowledge.

If a student falls behind, support classes can be booked through our admin team with our teacher assistants at no additional charge. Our goal is to ensure every student receives the support they need to progress.

Yes, subject to availability. Please speak to our admin team and we will help you find a suitable alternative where possible.

Transportation

Yes. Transportation is available for students in selected areas, subject to route availability. Contact us to check whether transportation is currently available in your area.

Yes. Transportation costs an additional BD10 per month, payable directly to our transportation partner.

Our Branches

We currently operate two learning centres in Bahrain: our Bani Jamra Branch and our Al Burhama Branch.

Registration, Fees & Payment

Contact The Garden of Knowledge and tell us which programme you are interested in. Our team will guide you through course selection, placement assessment where required, available schedules, fees and registration.

Course fees vary depending on the language, programme, level and duration. Please check the relevant course page or contact our team for current pricing.

Yes. There is a one-time registration and placement test fee of BD10.

No. Books and learning materials are charged separately and are paid for during the first month of the course. The materials are designed to last for the full 9-month level.

Books and stationery cost BD44 for primary school students and BD53 for teenagers and adults.

Yes. We offer a monthly payment option of BD35 per month with a minimum three-month commitment. Books and stationery are paid for during the first month and cover the full 9-month level.

We accept cash and card payments at either branch. Cash payments are issued with an official receipt. We also accept bank transfers via Fawri+ and secure online payments. If you prefer to pay online, our team can send you a secure payment link.

Start dates depend on the course, your level and current class availability. Contact us and we will check the next available class for you or your child.

Parents, Progress & Student Support

Parents can use The Garden of Knowledge app to follow their child’s attendance and learning progress. The app provides access to monthly progress reports, pre-test and final grades and allows parents to communicate directly with the teacher without exchanging personal contact information.

Yes. Parents can monitor their child’s attendance through The Garden of Knowledge app.

Students can view their reports, pre-test and final exam grades and contact their teacher directly with questions, without having to exchange personal information such as telephone numbers.

Yes. Parents can arrange to meet their child’s teacher before or after class, attend the parent-teacher meeting held after the final exam, or communicate directly with the teacher through The Garden of Knowledge app.

If a student is struggling, support classes can be arranged through our admin team with our teacher assistants at no additional charge. Teachers may also recommend additional support where necessary to ensure there are no gaps in the student’s knowledge.

Online Learning

Our online classes are live and interactive. Students learn directly with an experienced instructor rather than simply watching pre-recorded lessons.

Our online classes are designed to provide an engaging and interactive learning experience. Students participate live with their instructor and can ask questions, practise their skills and receive feedback throughout the class.

Policies, Cancellations & Privacy

The registration and placement test fee is non-refundable. Course fees may be refunded provided no more than one class has been attended. Books may only be refunded if they have no markings, damage or blemishes.

Subscriptions may be cancelled by contacting The Garden of Knowledge. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term. Subscriptions do not renew automatically unless this is explicitly stated at the time of purchase.

Private classes can be paused; however, your existing time slot may no longer be available when you return. Please contact our admin team to discuss the available options.

The Garden of Knowledge is closed during public holidays. Where a scheduled class is affected by a closure, the missed class will be added to the end of the course.

If The Garden of Knowledge cancels a scheduled class, the class will be added to the end of the course so students still receive the full number of classes they have paid for.

The Garden of Knowledge handles personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law. Children cannot independently register or submit personal data. Children’s information is collected through parents or legal guardians with their knowledge and consent.
